Post 112: Niño rata

Literally translated into “ratboy”, this is the name people in Mexico and latin American gave to pre-adolescents with a squeaky voice, that are playing games online (most of them not intended for their age), and screaming, yelling and insulting other players.
They tend to be very young, from 10-15 years old, and their biggest stars are youtube and twitch videogame streamers, who they love almost religiously.

It became  a very popular trend/internet meme, and if you do something someone else don’t like in a game, when you are online, they call you “niño rata” in a teasing manner.

The real inspiration for this word it’s an early simpsons episode, in wich Homer calls Bart Ratboy.
